Activate selected features not working with VS2013 and CKS:Dev 2.0

description

Hello,

I can't use the "deploy selected features" feature anymore with VS2013 and CKSDev 2.0 (VS2013 only version)... Error message belw:

Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate selected Features': Command ID 'Deployment.ActivateFeatures' is invalid.

The command seems to be missing from the assembly, is it my environment or the development is not fully complete ?

Thanks

You might just have to reconfig the deployment steps by removing them and re-adding if they were configured via a different version. It shouldnt make a difference but its the only thig i can think of right now. I can't replicate on my environment this problem

Thanks for your answer!

Removing, saving, and re-adding deployment step does not solve the problem, though: it fails with the same error "Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate selected Features': Command ID 'Deployment.ActivateFeatures' is invalid"...

Maybe this is caused by an upgrade issue ? It was a VS2010 with CKSDev 1.2 project that was upgraded to VS2013...

Could you detail a bit more about your solution config?

Like which VS version you are running
What the deployment steps are for the active build config

I don't know if this is related, but I'm getting the following error -
Error 12 Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate selected Features': Error in line 1 position 313. Element 'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/Microsoft.VisualStudio.SharePoint.Commands:Value' contains data from a type that maps to the name 'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/CKS.Dev12.VisualStudio.SharePoint.Deployment.DeploymentSteps:FeatureActivationInfo'. The deserializer has no knowledge of any type that maps to this name. Consider using a DataContractResolver or add the type corresponding to 'FeatureActivationInfo' to the list of known types - for example, by using the KnownTypeAttribute attribute or by adding it to the list of known types passed to DataContractSerializer.
